Green-Friendly Data Center Design

TurnKey owns and operates its own data center which employs a variety of technologies to insure a green-friendly approach to all of our web and cloud-hosting services. Owning our own building and infrastructure affords us greater capacity to pursue optimal, environmentally-friendly designs in every area of our business. From low-voltage, green-friendly servers utilizing advanced Intel-based processors, to advanced on-site solar arrays, TurnKey is doing its part to better the environment to the highest extent possible.

In-Row Precision Cooling

TurnKey's data center employs in-rack temperature sensors that regulate climate control via our Emerson precision spot-cooling systems. Precision-based cooling is automatically and intelligently distributed in the exact amount and location required to maintain optimal cooling and humidification levels for our computing equipment. Unlike traditional data centers, our cooling systems intelligently distribute cooling in an efficient manner to minimize power consumption.

Fire Protection and Safety

TurnKey Internet's data center utilizes state of the art fire detection and suppression systems including a fully integrated and automated FM-200 Fire Protection and Safety system. Our alarm system is fully monitored 24x7x365 by our own in-house staff and is directly tied to the local fire department. FM-200 (Heptafluoropropane) is a safe, clean fire-protection agent that wont harm people, the environment or cause collateral damage to technical equipment.

Redundant High Speed Network Connections

Providing the highest quality Internet connectivity and performance is our top priority. We have selected premium Tier-1 bandwidth providers, ensuring minimal latency and fast connections across the globe. Our data center has multiple fiber optic fiber carriers (both underground, and aerial, out of multiple diverse paths from our facility). We operate Dark Fiber to 2 carrier hotels in New York, offering connectivity in excess of 200 Gbps. Our Juniper routers provide our border network connectivity utilizing BGP4 for redundant and optimal route access to our Internet backbone carriers. All of these components provide the reliability and redundancy that is the foundation behind our 100% Network Uptime Guarantee.

Security On-Site

TurnKey Internet's SSAE-18 SOC 1 & SOC 2 certified data center was a former U.S. Government building that was purchased by TurnKey in 2010. It is made to U.S. Federal Government standards, with 1-foot thick concrete along the perimeter, plus additional re-inforced walls and security enhancements. We have installed advanced security systems, and infrared based surveillance monitoring cameras. Employees all undergo background screening, and clients are not permitted within the facility except with photo ID and escorted by trained security personnel at all times. We own and operate our own Latham, New York-based green, SSAE 18 Certified, data center, with a fully redundant next generation fiber optic network, and offer a 100% Network Uptime Guarantee on all of our services.

Solar Power

Our advanced on-site roof-top solar array provides clean, pollution-free power. Every square inch of our roof is covered with solar panels, creating a massive clean energy-producing power plant.
